Yes the XPS series is a bit of a cooling nightmare but for example the Precision 3000/7000 series are quite a different story.
(We have around 10 assorted Dell laptops from all the different models and we don’t like the XPS much by comparison, and wouldn’t ever buy another. Aside from thermal issues, for whatever reason the XPS drivers are very beta and always crashing compared with the Precision series which is just rock solid)
